My Favorite Spring/Summer 2010 Trends

There are several trends for Spring/Summer 2010 that I'm crazy about such as the Knee-High/Thigh-High Socks, big over-sized hair bows, Jumpsuits,the Tribal look evolved from the the Military style, and the Boyfriend Blazer is still a staple. The Knee-High/Thigh-High Socks are super cute I've even rocked it myself, but celebrities such as Rihanna have been seen wearing them as well. Big Hair Bows are being seen all over the runways and they add spice and glamour to pretty much any ensemble. Jumpsuits/Rompers are still around as well and come in so many different shapes, styles and designs that I can't even take it. The new take on the Military look is the Tribal trend. It's like Ancient Military on steroids. Seen on runways a celebs have already caught on as well. Then lastly one of the super stylish Kim Kardashian's wardrobe staples is the Boyfriend Blazer; because it instantly classy's up your outfit it seems like a trend that will be around for a while. Check out the pics below and see what you can fit into your wardrobe. And as a bonus I also love the super long Milk Maid Braid, makes me wanna get a get an ultra long weave temporarily.

Ok Ok so more Rihanna...I'm sorry I can't help it I just love this chick!!! This Rude Boy video slays. All of the colors just make my mind race and inspires me to do something creative. Her dancing ummmm...lol...But I love her anyways and I love that she's representing our West Indian heritage(being that I am of Guyanese decent)slow windin' up through the whole video she's doing me proud.

Ri Ri's Catsuit

Some may like it and some may not. Quite frankly I think its hot if pulled off correctly and Rihanna is probably the only person who can. This look was created by her stylist and my styling idol Mariel Haenn and her styling partner Rob Zangardi. They keep her ahead of the curve in all things fashion she tries all the flyest most daring things that other people are afraid to try and does it so effortessly. I love that chick!

Nia Long Showing Out

Nia Long looked absolutely FABULOUS at the New York City premier of Chris Rock's Good Hair. The dress, purse, shoes, her skin, everything was on point! She is showing the world that age aint nothing but a number and you can stay fly and age ever so gracefully. I heart her!

Fall Winter Lip Colors

So our fabulous "friend in my head" Rihanna was spotted out in Paris heading to the fashion week festivities out there. She was rocking a fly black see-through dress and one of the hottest looks for the fall and winter season, which is the dark lip color. My sources tell me that dark colors like deep plums, dark browns, and even black are totally in. They definitely give you that edgy look to spice up your outfit. But keep in mind that if you are going to do a dark lip keep the upper part of the face on the lighter side. When you have such a bold lip you don't want to do too much and go over board with the darkness. **(side bar) And the same thing vice versa if you have a bold eye you should go with a light or pale lip.**

High Fashion...Yacht???

Looking at the picture alone I found it hard to believe this was a yacht. Wally and Hermes has a new yacht, they have been working together to create a series of luxury and environmental-friendly yachts. This is the Wally-Hermes 58 is the first yacht in the series and was designed with the form equals function method. Its sleek design offers comfort, privacy, stability, space, and sustainability. If you ask me its just simply breath taking. Who will be the first person to buy one of these superb creations???? Only a truly stylish and GLAM-orous person could pull that off.
